What is FreshTab?

FreshTab is a subscription-based restaurant management and Point-of-Sale (POS) software. We help restaurant owners manage billing, inventory, and online orders securely from their devices.

What Google/Gmail Permission We Request

If you choose to use our Order Aggregator Sync feature, FreshTab will request read-only access to your Gmail account using the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly.

Why We Need Gmail Access

This access is used strictly to detect and parse incoming restaurant order confirmation emails from third-party delivery platforms (like Zomato and Swiggy) so they can be automatically displayed on your Kitchen Display System without manual entry.

What Gmail Data is Accessed and Stored?

We only access emails sent from recognized delivery platforms. We do NOT store the contents of your emails on our servers. The parsing happens locally on your device in the browser to extract the order items and amounts, which are then saved locally to your device's offline database.

Data Sharing

We never share, sell, or transfer your Gmail data to third parties. FreshTab's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

General Data Collection

Beyond Gmail, FreshTab collects your basic profile information (name, phone number, email, restaurant name) to create your account. All your billing and sales data is stored locally on your device; we do not store your sales data on our servers.

Disconnecting and Revoking Access

You can instantly disconnect your Gmail account from within the FreshTab POS Settings page. You can also revoke our application's access directly from your Google Account Security settings at any time.

Data Security and Retention

Your authentication tokens are stored securely in your browser's local storage and are never transmitted to our backend servers. Since we do not store your emails, there is no retention period for email data.
